#CLPGIVESBACK
We feel lucky to do what we love every day, and recognize we are part of a larger community and world. Supporting organizations here in our own community or who are doing work on the national level that we find important, will always be at the core of what we do.
Sometimes we run givebacks for a period of time (like when the proceeds from your purchases last holiday season helped us give $5000 to Hunger Free Colorado!). Other times we will earmark certain products to support an organization. Last month we announced three new givebacks that will always have a portion of their sales go to three very special organizations.
Let us know what organizations you care about! Tag us #clpgivesback on social media to highlight organizations doing work that is meaningful to you!
Founded in 1986,The Gathering Place is the only daytime drop-in center in metro Denver that serves women, transgender individuals, and their children who are experiencing poverty, many of whom are also experiencing homelessness. No fees are ever charged for programs or services.
Here, our Protect this Woman necklace will serve to provide a quarterly donation to this amazing nonprofit organization. Yellow bronze medallion on gold fill chain, with a diamond bezel-set in the center. Beautiful on its own, or layered up with all your other favorite talismans.
Food Bank of the Rockies provides food and necessities to people in need and has the largest food bank coverage area in the contiguous United States. They believe that for a community to thrive, “every member must have the resources they need to flourish, and we strive to provide equitable access to proper nourishment for all.”
I chose our wishbone necklace to be the perennial #clpgivesback piece for Food Bank of the Rockies. I’ve always called this “Sunday Dinner.” It was cast from an actual wishbone of a chicken that Zach roasted us one night years ago.
Even if you don’t know me personally, you might have caught from following me over the years that I am a huge animal person. Zach and I don’t have kids; our dogs are our children. We have always adopted or rescued dogs and there is not a time in our lives when we have not had at least two (often three) fur babies running around with us.
MaxFund runs a true no-kill animal shelter and adoption center that challenges the traditional methods of animal sheltering. They strive to give animals, including the injured, abandoned, and abused, a second chance at life.
Of course our Protect this Dog tag was the perfect product to be the fundraiser for Max Fund. We have sold this tag since the very beginning. Customized with a turquoise stone (turquoise is known for its powers of protection, promotion of tranquil energy, and its association with enduring love) and your phone number on the back, it’s the ultimate doglery for your best friend.
